After the patina has been applied, the sculpture is rinsed and the patina chemicals are neutralized. Once the statue is completely dry, an acrylic lacquer is sprayed onto the surface of the bronze. The lacquer is a very durable, UV stabilized coating. Finally, on top of this layer is applied a coat of paste wax.
