What is the mix of Boysen paint?
The Ideal Ratio is 1:16 Boysen colorants come in 1/4-liter and 1-liter cans. We’ve made it easier for you because our white paint comes in 1-liter, 4-liter, and 16-liter cans. In other words, if you are using the 1/4-liter can of colorant, then you use the 4-liter can of paint.
How do you mix latex paint colors?
Pour both paints into a large bucket in the same proportions as the sample you created earlier. For example, if you used 1 tablespoon of a white paint and 3 tablespoons of yellow, use the same proportions. Depending on how much paint you have available, this may mean 1 quart of white paint to 3 quarts of yellow.

How do you paint Boysen walls?
Remove all loose, scaling, flaking and peeling off paint. Remove rust by sanding, wire brushing and as necessary, use BOYSEN® Metal Etching Solution #71 only on the rusted portion. Let it stay for 10-15 minutes. Clean the area then apply a coat of metal primer on treated portions, bare substrate, and chalky areas.
How do you use Boysen latex color?
PAINT APPLICATION:
- Prime bare substrate with Boysen® Permacoat™ Latex Flat #701. Let dry for one (1) hour.
- Putty minor surface imperfections with Boysen® Acrytex™ Cast #1711. Let dry for one (1) hour.
- Finish with two (2) coats of Boysen® Permacoat™ Latex* to your desired premixed shade.
