Could the kerbol system exist?
There is yet a lot more we don’t know about the universe so it is possible that something like Kerbin exist out there. Yes. It’s been shown to be theoretically feasible.
How close can you get to kerbol KSP?
2.3 or 2.7 kilometer is the closest as I remember. For science you only need to get within 1000 km I think, you also don’t need to get into low orbit just get your closest point low enough. For the view it don’t matter much, the sun visible surface is far below the 0 attitude so 100 or 3 km don’t look much different.
Can you escape kerbol?
Kerbol itself has a non relativistic escape velocity, so it is possible to escape Kerbol. But itself it is not possible to escape Kerbol’s gravitational pull, because the sphere of influence is infinite.
What type of star is kerbol?
Kerbol, also known as “the sun”, is a main sequence G2 (yellow dwarf) type star and is home to the Kerbol System, Kerbin, and Kermanity.
Can you land on kerbol?
You can land on the sun… you just have to do it at night.
Is Eve tidally locked?
Along with Kerbin, Moho and Eve are also now tidally locked. Planets beyond Kerbin are far enough from the Sun to have escaped the fate of tidal locking. Because planets lie closer to the Sun, they have smaller spheres-of-influence.
How hot is kerbol?

What would a tidally locked planet be like?
A tidally locked planet shows only one face to its star, with implications for its climate. In one scenario, the planet resembles a giant eyeball, as shown in this illustration. The cold eyeball planet has a liquid ocean on the light side, while an icy shell covers the dark side.
Do eyeball planets exist?
Hot eyeball and icy eyeball planets are extreme cases, but any planet that is tidally locked to its star is likely to look very different on its day side and its night side.
What is the kerbol system?
The Kerbol System is the planetary system in which Kerbal Space Program takes place. It has Kerbol as the central body which is orbited by 5 planets and 2 dwarf planets. Only Kerbin and Laythe have an oxygen atmosphere and only Kerbin hosts life.
What is the Kerbal Space Program?
The new international Kerbal Space Program formed in the aftermath of the Kerbollo 13 rescue, set out to answer long-standing questions of the universe for the rest of all Kerbalkind, and exploration of the Kerbol system began in earnest.
How many planets are in the kerbol system?
Kerbol. As of version 0.18.2, five planets: Moho, Eve, Kerbin, Duna and Jool; and two dwarf planets: Dres and Eeloo; orbit around it. Kerbol is utterly massive containing 99.97% of the mass in the Kerbol system. This is very similar to our sun which contains 99.86% of the mass in the real world solar system.
How do I find the path from Kerbin to kerbol?
The angle from Kerbin to Kerbol to your destination planet. This could be in front or behind you. The trick is to get in a position in Kerbol orbit at the same time as your destination planet. You could also use The Interplanetary Guide and Calculator to calculate your own path.
