Do Rimblades work?
The Rimblades proved far easier to fit than Alloygators – they stick on in minutes once you’ve cleaned the wheel. The trouble is they don’t provide as much protection, with damage showing up more quickly. So although Alloygators are pricey, they’re much more durable.
Do Rimblades stay on?

If you’d prefer to fit the products yourself, it’ll cost you £59.95 for a pack of five, and you should be able to get them on all four wheels in under an hour. The super-tough nylon has been hardened so your wheels are better shielded from the scuffs and scratches caused by kerbing and poor road conditions.

The tyre is then reinflated. New metal locating clips add rigidity and the Alloygators stand up well to abuse. Even if you mark them, a keyring tool scrapes away the damage. So these are a good investment for anyone looking to protect a smart set of wheels.
How do you remove RimBlades?
The removal process is quite straightforward:
- Carefully peel the RimSaver off the wheel.
- Remove the adhesive off the wheel (without scratching it)
How do you remove Alloygators?
How do I remove my AlloyGators? To remove the profile simply jack up the car, fully deflate the tire, remove the plastic joining clip and carefully prise the profile up around the joint area. Firmly tap the face of the AlloyGator using a rubber mallet on the side which has the hole in it.
How long does it take to fit Alloygators?
Fitting can take up to 90 minutes.
