How does DryBox work?
A dry box is a storage container in which the interior is kept at a low level of humidity. It may be as simple as an airtight and watertight enclosure, or it may use active means to remove water vapor from the air trapped inside.
How do you set up a dry cabinet camera?
To set your DryBox.com.sg Dry Cabinet:
- Press set button twice, the numeric value will blink and use the up and down buttons to set desired humidity. Press set again to confirm selection.
- Press and hold the “down” button if you’ll like to decrease the intensity of the LED panel reading.
Is Dry Cabinet necessary?
Dry cabinets are used when there is a need for any equipment, appliances or objects to be stored with low atmospheric humidity. Moisture can be very damaging to specific instruments, specifically to digital cameras and lenses.
Can you leave lens attached to camera?
Yes. It is definitely fine to leave the lens attached….in fact, it is preferable. You can sometimes carry more stuff (camera bodies and lenses) in a bag if the bodies and cameras are stored separately.
How do I keep my dSLR camera when not in use?
If you need to store the camera for more than a month, consider placing the camera in a sealed plastic bag with a moisture-absorbing desiccant to provide additional protection against humidity. Alternatively, store the camera safely inside the camera bag you use to carry it.
Can we keep camera battery in dry cabinet?
Camera batteries are well-sealed, so there’s only one risk to placing them in a dry-box in a very moist environment: The metal connections (to the camera) can become corroded.
