How good are Salamanders in 40k?
Salamanders have lots of buffs for shooting flame and melta weapons, boosting defense, and a few great buffs for offense as well that give them a lot of flexibility. There are a lot of things they can do reasonably well.

They’re steadfast, loyal, brave, fierce warriors and master artisans. They’ve also got some very cool rules in 8th ed and I think are an underrepresented Chapter in competitive play.
What is the salamanders’ chapter trait in Warframe?
The Salamanders’ Chapter Trait rewards you for taking more small units, where you’ll be able to maximize your wound re-rolls by minimizing squad sizes, but this can potentially make your buff stratagems less efficient. Each time a unit with this tactic is selected to shoot or fight, you can re-roll one wound roll when resolving that unit’s attacks.
What are the best units for salamanders in Warzone?
The other half of the duo for Salamanders, Eradicators are just an all-around good unit made better by the ability to get +1 to wound from the chapter doctrine, and their small unit size makes them a great fit for the chapter tactic – never mind them hanging around with Vulkan who turns them into one of the most destructive units in the game.
Are the salamanders still good in the new Codex?
This is still true of the Salamanders in the new codex, but their Chapter Tactic is far more versatile that before, to the extent that you’ll be able to field a viable Salamanders army with no flamer or melta weapons at all!
