War weariness can be reduced if the war is declared using a Casus Belli. Amenities at the end of the turn, and the leftover WWP will be reset to 0 when the next turn starts. For every battle you fight, there is a base WWP you will get based on the era and whether or not you use a Casus Belli.
How long does it take for war weariness last Civ 6?
In my cities, the war weariness appeared to drop by one every turn, completely gone by about 10 turns. In the cities they ceded to me, war weariness is stuck. One city has it at -2, another at -5, etc. It does not change whatsoever between turns, and has stayed at exactly those values for the past 40 turns.
