20 yds is plenty. If your a bullet hole at 14 yds with a bareshaft then your probably good.

not needed. one can easily get their broadheads and field tips hitting together by a simple rest adjustment (if your broadheads are hitting low and left, then move your rest a hair to the right and up. keep doing this until you have the same poi). no need to shoot bare shafts to do this.
