Is HM-10 a BLE?
The HM10 is a serial BLE module (Bluetooth-Low-Energy) which is intended to use for the low power consumption applications and can last long even with a coin-sized battery. The HM10 is a Bluetooth 4.0 module based on the Texas Instruments CC2540 or CC2541 BLE System SoC (System on Chip).

How do you connect to HM-10?
Just connect as following:
- Connect 3.3V of Arduino to the VCC of HM-10.
- Connect GND of Arduino to the GND of HM-10.
- Connect D8 of Arduino to RX of HM-10.
- Connect D7 of Arduino to TX of HM-10.
- Connect D2 of Arduino to the long leg of LED along with a 220 ohm resistor.
- Connect the short leg of LED with the GND of Arduino.
How do you pair HM-10?
The device should be connected to HC 05/06 Bluetooth module1) Turn on the Bluetooth module2) Scan the available device3) Enter the default password 1234 or 0000 to pair the device. Your Android device should have the LED application installed. The application should now be open.
