Can I use SpeedFan to check the core temperature?
Dont use SpeedFan for checking temps. Download Core Temp or Real Temp. Even better would be HWMonitor. They are all free Third party software like SpeedFan/HWmonitor/ect can read many different sensors but have no clue what each one is. Now your extra high temperatures is most likely just a non connected sensor.
How reliable is SpeedFan?
SpeedFan is highly unreliable. Better to use Lavalys Everest or HWMonitor. ^^ Ok i tried Everest, but here too the temperatures are same so you see, speedfan is lying either. What is this MCP? and AUX? MCP would ideally be media communications processor, and aux is an unassigned sensor.
