The IB program is designed not only to provide you with rigorous course content, but also to help you learn how to think, analyze, and critically consider materials in the way that your college will eventually expect. The independent projects that are part of the IB curriculum can be enjoyable as well.

Is IB harder than college?
Absolutely. IB courses were much more demanding and involved than the courses I take at college. My writing skills were strongly developed, however, most of my college courses only use multiple choice examinations.

It’s going to depend on the university, but they most likely will care. Universities like to see that you are taking the hardest courses available to you. When you drop out of the IB, you’re sending universities the message that the pressure was too much, and that you cannot handle difficult/intense courses.
